Who Are The Lahu?
The Lahu people originally migrated to northern Thailand from the southwestern region of Yunnan Province in China. Others now reside in Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar. There are approximately one million Lahu speaking people in the world today – with 2,000 living in the United States.
Who is Lahu Project Video?
In partnership with Project Video, the Thailand Lahu Baptist Convention was able to dedicate their new Lahu production center to the glory of God in Chiang Mai, Thailand on March 2012.
The center was fully equipped with production equipment that has enabled LPV to begin dubbing the Visual Bible production of Acts into the Lahu language. As soon as Acts is ready for distribution, they plan to dub the gospels of Matthew and John and the six films that make up the God Provides Film Series.
LPV is asking all Lahu believers to get involve in its new media ministry by supporting it financially … by volunteering talent to help make audio recordings … and by helping to distribute completed productions to Lahu people scattered throughout SE Asia.
